Particularly when it comes to sealing in aroma, our special composites with EVOH high barrier are the ideal solution: EVOH (Ethyl Vinyl Alcohol) is a PE-based aroma barrier. It prevents parts of the product’s contents from escaping from the packaging.
The barrier protects the contents so that critical substances from the surrounding atmosphere (such as oxygen) cannot intrude into the packaging and react with the product. It seals in the aroma and freshness of your product and greatly reduces the risk of deterioration. As part of the composite structure, the aroma barrier is sandwiched between two protective layers of PE.
If you package your products in a modified atmosphere (MAP), we recommend our high-barrier films to ensure long-term preservation: our high-barrier composites prevent any uncontrolled exchange of gas, thereby maintaining a packaging atmosphere tailored exactly to the needs of your product. This way, your products stay appetisingly fresh for longer. Our high-barrier composites are available with antifog effect, in peelable quality and printed.
